Fall Things

autumn5-edit

I’m like a broken record going on and on each and every year about how excited I am once October nears. But it’s true, I’m so, so excited because fall is just beautiful. It just is. Period. The weather is glorious, just chilly enough, it feels fresh and don’t even get me started on all the stunning colors and the leaves falling. Ahhhhhh!

I’m excited to be outside as much as possible with the kids, taking advantage of the last few weeks before it starts getting dark at 4.30PM. I’m excited about all the apple and pumpkin pies and cider and I’m really looking forward to heading to Slovenia at the end of October when Lara is off from school. Have I mentioned how pretty running is in the morning with all those autumnal colors surrounding you? It’s actually making the whole thing a little more bearing 🙂

Anyways, I’ve started getting through my reading list and have even cleaned up the terrace so I could read and drink my coffee outside during the weekend mornings. I love our terrace but we really don’t take enough advantage of it because our apartment is on the top floor and during the summer it’s just waaaaaay too hot to sit out, and in the evening you literally get devoured by mosquitoes (have I mentioned how much I hate those vile creatures? Someone please tell what their purpose is on this planet?). So, I decided that fall and spring will be our terrace time.

What’s your favorite season? It’s autumn, right?
