My Favorite Apps

Apparently I’m still feeling a little gadget geeky today. Here’s a list of apps I use on a regular basis a.k.a can’t live without, if we’re being honest…

  • Mominotes. I looked for a scheduling app that would let me put everything into one for the longest time. And then I found Mominotes; a great app that lets you use different icons for different task and appointments + you can make and save shopping lists and schedule reminders. Let’s just say it’s a life saver. It won’t actually do any of these things for you though. Thought I should mention that :-) Hopefully, they’re working on that!
  • Longreads. A great, fairly new, website that has all the best long stories on the web. Seriously worth checking out because it has some of the best articles. I usually read it on my iPhone with the Read it Later app (or Pocket, as it’s being called now).
  • Kindle app. I have a Kindle, but sometimes I forget it at home so having the app on my phone gets me through my lunch hour, if I’m feeling like I just can’t wait to finish that book. Also great if you have an iPad or an Android tablet and want to take advantage of Amazon Kindle services.
  • Instagram. Duh !
  • Converter. Not a very stylish app but incredibly useful for cooking and online shopping (or basically anything else). I use it all the time to convert from F° to C° and $ or £ to €.
  • Evernote. Because it’s the best note taking app ever. You can also use on your computer and then sync with your phone.
  • Red Stamp. I used this one to make our Christmas cards and got great feedback so now I use it for any and all cards I need to make.
  • Whole Foods Recipes. Organic and nutritious recipes in a matter of seconds. Need I say more?
  • Chicfeed. When I’m in the mood for some fashion inspiration I browse through this one. Best street style app that combines pictures from top blogs like Lookbook.nu, the Sartorialist, Jack and Jill blog and others.
  • The New York Times app. I’ve had the digital subscription for about a year now and I honestly don’t know what I’d do without it. Their free 10 articles a month isn’t nearly enough. + I’m sort of obsessed with the real estate and book review sections.
• Spotify. I also have a subscription to this because I can listen to music offline, which doesn’t kill my iPhone battery. I also use the desktop version at work. I like it because I can change my music as much as I want without actually buying it. + no ads if you’re a member. The membership I have is 9,99€ a month but the app is free and you can listen to music without purchasing a membership. It also has great sharing options for FB & Twitter.
Do you have any favorite apps?

P.S That picture is me geeking around and testing an Android tablet at work a little while back. Thought it was appropriate :-) Also, I use these apps on my iPhone but lots of them are available for Android as well.
