I have long wished that I would possess the knowledge and the skills to be able to sew myself and my littles an outfit or two. Now, don’t get me wrong, I can sew on a button (I think) but an actual piece of clothing? Uh uh, no can do. So you can imagine my excitement upon discovering Blue Poppies. A wonderful concept website that enables you to choose everything from the colors you’d want, to the materials, patterns and the style of your design, but sews the clothes for you so you don’t have to worry about your lack of ability to somehow attach a sleeve to the rest of the shirt.
The designs are incredibly easy to make and you have a ton to choose from whether it’s for babies, toddlers or bigger kids up to 14 years old. I think it’s just such an adorable way to design something a little more unique that’s just to your taste. Plus it’s fun too!
You can even design baby products such as blankets, sleeping sacks, bibs and burp cloths, crib bumpers and sheets.
It’s truly a wonderful concept I’m sure many other “sewing skill” challenged parents will appreciate.
I choose to design a tunic for Lara and a set of short overalls for the little one on the way. (Obviously, I had to work with pink hues on the tunic.)
The items can get a bit pricey but they’re all hand sewn in France with love and care so it’s a great quality investment for your littles that you’ll be able to cherish forever.
