Vid came home late Sunday evening from his trip and left again yesterday for another one so we had a whole Monday in between to fill with family time. We go to the Christmas market (Les Hivernales) every year and we wanted to keep up with that little tradition of ours.
I wasn’t sure when another day will come when we’ll all be able to go together since the kids and I leave pretty early for the Christmas holidays and Vid’s schedule this year has been pretty jam packed. So in the end, a random Monday afternoon it was!
It wasn’t crowded, which was great because it can get pretty hectic on weekends and towards the end of the week so we walked slowly and checked out what some of the local businesses had to offer. We also ate churros (again!) and I had a cup of organic mulled wine, which was spiced to perfection. Lara and I took the “big” Christmas train ride (Lev didn’t want to do it with us) and then Lev and Lara took another turn together on the smaller one.
As you can see, Lev was being carried around like a little king again haha. Still in the “hating the stroller but don’t want to walk too much either” phase. And, as an even bigger plus, he only wants his mama to carry him! I swear I have no idea how I don’t have Madonna arms…YET! With the amount I carry this kid I’m pretty sure these wobbly noodles I call arms should be a little more defined by now. Oh well!
LARA WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT SOMETHING IN THIS PHOTO. IT LASTED RIGHT UP UNTIL WE GOT TO THE FIRST STAND, WHICH WAS A FULL 30 SECONDS. SOMETIMES, I GET THESE TWEEN PREVIEWS THAT MAKE ME FEAR WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN 5 OR SO YEARS LOL.
It was a great afternoon and I’m so happy we got to keep this tradition of ours. It really made me so happy and we kept talking about how next year we’ll have Chandler with us too! It’s crazy how much we’re excited about getting that dog haha.
Hope you’re all having a great week 🙂
