I’ve just got around to editing some of the photos I took during fall break. I took a few days off and we have a holiday on November 1st so it felt like we got a decent pause in there. We did lots of Halloween related activities, we decorated the house, carved pumpkins, discussed costumes and finally went trick or treating too. For some reason I didn’t take my phone or camera with us so I literally have zero documentation of it. Which, weirdly in a way I’m proud of because lately my phone has been the last thing on my mind when I’m at home and I really try and be more in the moment. It’s not always easy because the pressure to be constantly connected is there all the time but I’m really making a conscious effort to not fall into that rabbit hole. I’m sure I’m not the only one slowly developing a bit of a love-hate relationship with Instagram and such and occasionally lately I have been feeling truly over it a way. But that’s a topic for another day and another post, probably one that will take me at least a 1000 words to get across.
So, November is here and it suddenly starts feeling a whole lot like Christmas. Doesn’t it feel like it gets earlier and earlier every year? The decor is up in some places, Starbucks has got their holidays cups and I’m trying to figure out where and how to put up the tree this year to avoid Chandler thinking it’s a new chew toy. Any tips for that?
As for this weekend, it’s all turning out to be a bit of blur truthfully. I’ve been breaking up fights pretty much every 30 seconds, crankiness seems to the theme of the weekend and to top it off Lev got an ear infection and so we spent yesterday afternoon in the emergency room. By the time the evening rolled around yesterday I had such a headache I just couldn’t wait to head to bed.
Hopefully today will be better and we’ll be able to salvage some of our weekend and lift our moods a bit. We’re heading to the park first to get some fresh air and then we’ll bake some “healthy” cinnamon rolls this afternoon.
Cinnamon rolls make everything better right?
