Living That Flu Life

Hey, hey everyone! Things have been a little quiet over here but we’ve had an intense week to say the least. I’ll get into our last weekend and the Slovenia’s amazing victory for the bronze in another post (hopefully this weekend) because a night like that deserves its own space on the internet. Agreed?

Apart from that, as you may have noticed on Instagram, both kids came down with the flu this past Sunday and we’ve been dealing with that ever since. Lara got it worse than Lev I think, even though during the night from Sunday to Monday both their fevers spiked so high I thought a trip to the ER was inevitable. Thankfully, their fevers started to drop at about 5 AM finally so I was able to take them to their doctor the next day. The flu was confirmed and voilà, here we are, playing every possible game we can think off and trying to get better. Lev has actually been pretty much OK since Monday so I took him to his nounou today so he can enjoy the company of his little buddies for a few hours. Lara on the other hand is still pretty weak and it looks like she started her school vacation (which officially begins next week) a little early. Oh, well.

I HAVE BEEN LOVING THIS BOOK. EVERY TIME, I’VE HAD A DIFFICULT PARENTING MOMENT IN THE PAST WEEK, I’VE JUST SAT DOWN, READ A PASSAGE AND REGROUPED.

This winter man, it’s been rough on everyone I think. Well, at least everyone I know because there hasn’t been a mom in my circle that hasn’t dealt with the constant germ central in the past couple of months. I think we need to do a little dance to will spring to come soon. It’s also been very rainy, windy and just overall gloomy here in Montpellier, which doesn’t help our spirits either but from the looks of my weather app we’re going to have to deal with it for a few more days at least. But like I said, we’ve been trying to keep busy and get healthy again. It’s been PJ’s all day, toys everywhere (and I mean EVERYWHERE), puzzles, Fisher Price farm, trains, trucks, books, and of course cartoons as well.

Lara and Lev got the cutest personalized books as Christmas gifts from friends and they’ve been obsessed with them. Lara got one in English and French and Lev got one with plasticized pages, which is naturally an amazing extra because this 2 1/2 year old’s hands are not the most delicate haha. I’ve been reading it to him every night and I swear he loves it so much (thanks Gege & Niko!!).

We also made superfood smoothies the other day, which the kids LOVED. I bought this Kidz Superfood from Amazing Grass and blended it into their smoothie and it just tastes so good! I’m probably going to get an adult version for Vid and I too.

MY LITTLE FOOD ADVENTURER. HE’LL TRY ANYTHING, I HOPE IT STAYS THAT WAY.

Vid also came home on Tuesday (at last!) and the kids have just been enjoying having their dad back. And I my husband! It’s been a very long, long month and I’m glad that we’re finally together again <3

    Pozdravljeni!

Spremljam vaš blog in bi imela eno vprašanje glede vase nege kože obraza. Sama sem preizkusila že veliko krem in nisem našla še tiste prave.

    Lp,
    Neža
    odgovor prosim na mail, hvala.
