I hope you all had the most wonderful time during the holidays and that the longest night of the year was fun. It was pretty mellow around here, unfortunately we weren’t able to celebrate with daddy this year so at around 21 o’clock we put on our new holidays onsies, watched a bit of the New Year’s Eve movie marathon and then hopped on to bed. We missed daddy terribly but were determined to make the best of it.
I also wanted to thank everyone for your incredibly sweet comments to our last post. We’re absolutely thrilled that 2014 will bring a new little member to our family and just for that I know it’s going to be an amazing year.
When it comes to new year’s resolutions, I know the year itself will bring many changes but I still have a few thoughts and goals I want to strive towards.
For one Im hoping for a calm and peaceful pregnancy. My last one was a bit on the stressful side so I’m really shooting towards calm on this one. I want to try and worry less about things I have no control over and I want to be more positive and cut myself some slack on those rainier days. I want to sneak in more quality family time; I’ll nevrr get enough of that!
I also want to dedicate myself a little more to writing and blogging in the next few months and I’ve recently made a bit of a life decision that will enable me just that. It’s a bit scary yet absolutely exciting at the same time so I’m really looking forward to shaking things up a little around here and bringing up some fun new features.
As for some of my other goals, they include being on time! (I really need to work on that) and making time to read more history books. I’m a bit of a nut but I’ve really cut down on those in recent years and I miss it. Annnnd if I manage to squeeze in a quick photoshop or photography course in there that would be amazing too!
Happy New Year everyone! I hope 2014 brings you tons of reasons to smile every day!
P.S sorry for the late post, we’re actually on a skiing trip and I’m finishing this post from my tablet because my computer charger decided to stay in France. Or rather my pregnant brain left it there.
