Monday + Winter Beauty

Another week! Vid came home late last night and he has a day off today (the wholeeee day) so we spent the morning grabbing a coffee and now we’re back home wrapping up presents and doing some work. I love it when he’s home!

I had really bad PMS last week, I was craving so much sugar it was insane. I’m usually more of a salty person and I generally eat pretty healthy overall but last week was just brutal. I ate chocolate and cookies all week and my skin is paying for it now. As is my entire body because I’m feeling super sluggish. But I figured it was just a few days so it is what it is.

I did give myself a little pamper session during Lev’s nap time yesterday with Caudalie’s Detox mask. Remember when I incorporated spa nights last winter? Well, I don’t because it was so long ago haha.

Anyways, I squeezed the last bit out of the tube yesterday (as you can see by the state of the tube) and now I can move on to Glam Glow’s mud mask, which I just treated myself to for St. Nick’s haha. I love this Caudalie one though so I might get it again and I’m also giving the smaller gift sized versions to some of the ladies in the family for Christmas. It’s gentle on the skin but detoxifies and cleans out pores really well, and always, always leaves my skin feeling super soft after.

I also wanted to post a few other essentials I’m counting on through the holidays. My trusty It Works No Wrinkles Wonder Essence (I swear I can’t get enough of this stuff), Kiko’s Smart nail polish in red and gold for a sparkly holiday manicure (again as evident in the pic above I was already messing around with it). These are really inexpensive and they hold really well in my opinion.

Nuxe’s Rêve de Miel lip balm to prevent my lips from drying out and the classic Mac’s Ruby Woo matte lipstick (EU-FR website here). Love the dark-ish red shade, I think it’s perfect for the holidays. And last but not least, my latest lip obsession, the bareMinerals marvelous Moxie lip gloss (shade: Spark Plug). I love matte lipsticks but sometimes they end up drying my lips after a little while so I pair it up with this lip gloss to freshen up. I also wear it on a daily basis as it’s a lovely neutral shade and goes well with pretty much any and every make up look. Even the “no make up” one 🙂 .
