Before I start today’s posts, I promise it’ll be the last time I mention pumpkins for the rest of October. OK, now that’s out of the way, here we go. We carved pumpkins for the very first time this year. So we were total pumpkin carving rookies. This became all too clear to me once I hopped over onto Martha Steward dot com (I don’t even know why I do this to myself) and saw that basically we’re as unprepared as we could be. Apparently tools exist for these kinds of adventures?? Continue reading »
OK, so you know how I’m the least cratfy person ever, right? OK, good. Now let’s talk Wander and Hunt; an incredibly trendy craft store that’ll provide you with endless supplies to create super cool and fashionable DIY projects. Honestly, their kits could convince even someone as clueless as yours truly that she could create something awesome.
Something awesome, you say? Oh you mean like this a pair & a spare x Wander and Hunt DIY transparent satchel kit? Oh yeah ladies, oh yeah! Or perhaps something a little more casual like this bracelet?
I know, I know it’s pretty awesome for us DIY beginners out there.
Oh, and they ship pretty much everywhere!
I’m a huge agenda planner person. It doesn’t mean I’m necessarily super organized (because I’m not, at all!), but I have this firm belief that owning an agenda and writing things down every once in a blue moon will eventually organize me into a superhero mom/girlfriend/employee. I also need to get off my unicorn every once in a while too, I know.
I’ve been living with this agenda superpowers belief for about 12 years now and granted before I became the three things above I figured it would just help me be an impressively organized student. In fact it worked brilliantly for me in college. In four years I forgot about only one final and luckily it was History (1650-1900) and not to blow smoke up my own butt or anything but history is kind of my thing.
At this moment I own about three planners and I haven’t written anything down in about a week. Because not only do I believe in the power of an agenda book, I also believe in having a really cute one. Like this gorgeous agenda from Poketo! Definitely the find of the week
I’m horrible at DIYs. I know this because the mere thought of having to do something on my own, with my own two hands is extremely daunting to me. On the other hand, I have no proof of this because, well, I’ve never tried to do anything cool with my own two hands so maybe that’s the problem. Maybe I’m a closeted genius. Probably not though, because I think that those incredibly talented people probably display some sort of signs of DIY genius and I haven’t been noticing anything like that in this neck of the woods.
I can do accents though. Anyone?
But I do like pretty things (newsflash guys, newsflash!) and I have been craving to do something this fall that would accurately celebrate my love affair with it. Because I really do love it so very much and just seeing all the pumpkins at the grocery store is enough to make me want to do my fall happy dance. Actually never mind, I can’t dance either.
Right now you’re probably wondering where this is going? She can’t do anything so…
Well, I’m determined to give this whole DIY business a try anyways so I compiled a few very easy ones (because I’m hoping I can handle those), as well as some recipes, so I can really autumn up the house this October. Continue reading »
Gorgeous finds over at Olive Manna. I’ve been looking into possible fall decorations, trying to get inspired wherever I possibly can. So I happened to stumble upon Olive Manna and boy am I glad I did. I’ve been looking for an egg basket just like that but I’d use it for fruit instead. I just love the wiry look. And rubber stamps? Hello gorgeous!
