Converse X CDG Play

As an avid sneakers lover and a die hard Converse fan until the very end, I’m usually pretty pumped when Converse does a collaboration with another brand. I’m especially pumped when that brand happens to be Comme des Garçons PLAY and it looks something like this. This is the third time CDG has partnered up with Converse on a collection and even though the Converse x Missoni collab from a few years ago remains my top coveted Converse sneaker, I wouldn’t actually fight a pair of these heart covered leather hi tops either.

Would it be too cheesy is I said I heart them?

These babies will launch online and at Comme Des Garçons stores on the 28th of May.

Style To Inspire: Anine Bing

Anine Bing is one of my favorite drool worthy designers. Her style and designs are a perfect combination of effortless chic and downtown cool; they’re pretty much the clothes you’d want to live in on a daily basis. At least I know I would. Neutral colors, great denim, gorgeous leather jackets, basic tanks, beautiful studded booties, complete with some gorgeous boho dresses and an occasional Bing sweatshirt really speak to me. Style Inspiration: Demi Wedges

Kitten heels. Oh God. I used to own two pairs of pointy kitten heels, mainly because actual heels were out of the question and I had somehow convinced myself that I was freakishly tall (which I’m not by the way. At all. I’m just a freak), and so I wore kitten heels. Up until 2005, I wore them a lot.  These days, kitten heels aren’t really my favorite anymore and to be perfectly honest I haven’t come across a pair that would convince me otherwise, despite all the comeback rumors and these popular Valentinos. OK, OK I suppose I could manage the studded Valentino ones, in case someone wants to get them for me. No takers, huh?

Demi wedges however; those I have been secretly attracted to for quite some time now. They look really chic and comfy to me. And OK, I admit seeing these and these gorgeous demi wedges from Marc by Marc Jacobs may have something to do with it also. Continue reading »
