- Leaves Candle / 2. Babaà Knit Cardigan / 3. Nars Orgasm Lipstick / 4. Rifle Paper Co. 2017/18 Agenda
Full mode is on over here. It got chillier quite early this year but I can’t say that I mind too much, I love this kind of transitional weather and the feeling of autumn slowly taking over, the leaves falling and changing colors and of course anything pumpkin related. Pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin pie, pumpkin soup…
So when I got this “Leaves” candle from Bath And Body Works on Friday, just in time for the weekend, I was so excited. It was honestly the best gift I could have asked for after a long week and I couldn’t wait to light it up. It smells so utterly delicious. Ahhh, that and a glass of wine was pretty much the best introduction into the weekend.
I also got this Nars lipstick this week that I coveted all summer but never got around to actually buying. I took so long that of course Sephora no longer had it, so I had to pick it up online. It’s so pretty and quite shiny but I love it. My lips are dry so this satin-y and creamy consistency really works well for me. It’s sheer so it’s not too much and if you’re a fan of their Orgasm range anyways this will be right up your alley.
We’ve been cozying up the house all weekend pulling out the knits and putting away summer clothes. The kids have grown so much over the past couple of months that pretty much none of their warmer pieces fit anymore so we’ve been sorting out their closets and preparing things to donate.
It’s a process I used to find quite overwhelming, especially because I had trouble parting with things they wore when they were smaller. Now, I’ve gotten used to it but I still keep an item here and there for the memory box.
I read somewhere that if you have trouble separating from things you should keep a memory box and choose the items to put in there, while getting rid of the rest. You can pick and choose and even change the items you put in there but it should be small enough so you’re able to easily it pick up and move it if necessary. So when the time comes when we rummage through the clothes that are too small and all the artwork that accumulates through the year, it comforts me to know that I can keep little mementos but not necessarily collect every little thing.
But enough rambling about my hoarding tendencies and how I keep them in check hahaha.
I hope you all have a fun, sunny and cozy Sunday! I’m off to meal plan the week and then we’re going on a bike ride 🙂
